The Fourth of July is a very un-Adbusters holiday, so each year I made graphics to link to various articles on the Adbusters website about America’s rather sordid history.
Articles included America’s history of corporatism—how it has become increasingly corporate since it’s anticorporate origins, as well as the history of America’s genocidal and imperialistic roots. I borrowed black and white images from the magazine and public domain woodcut, which I adapted with colour and branding for a unified DIY aesthetic.
