Getting Physical
By far one of the biggest downsides of having the vast toolbox of the adobe suite or similar platforms, is that it discourages designers from making assets physically. For this project, meant to promote a general strike, I wanted something with immediacy and life, so I opted for a brush pen for the text. From there it was a simple matter of desaturating the image, pushing the blacks, upping the contrast, and adding some weight to the scanned brushstrokes with a simple center stroke.
The result is immediate, arresting, and tells a compelling story with or without the accompanying text.
